Widely recognized as one of the world’s top cross-border negotiators and dealmakers, Christopher Hsu leads Kilometre Capital as its Founder, CEO, and Managing Partner. Based in Hong Kong, Kilometre Capital is a leading consulting firm, specializing in some of the world’s foremost investment, private equity, and buyout transactions. Mr. Hsu had led strategic consolidation transactions in China’s semiconductor, gaming, internet, and technology industries.

Mr. Christopher Hsu and Kilometre led, orchestrated, and singularly advised Tsinghua University in its landmark acquisition of 51% of H3C and Hewlett Packard China, a $4.6 billion transaction for the leading internet, data storage, and network equipment business of HP. The Hewlett Packard deal was one of the most important precedents and joint ventures in US-China technology history, achieving one of last major US-China CFIUS approvals by U.S. Congress. Tsinghua University is regarded as one of the two most prestigious universities and educational bodies in China.

Before his work at Kilometre Capital, Chris Hsu served as the CEO and Founding Partner of Abax Global Capital, a private equity fund and hedge fund with offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai. In addition to leading Abax, Chris Hsu negotiated its partnership with Morgan Stanley Investment Management and led firm-wide investment and operational activity at Abax. Mr. Hsu’s role at Abax Global Capital was preceded by his work at Citadel Investment Group, one of the largest hedge funds in the world. Mr. Chris Hsu was promoted to be among the youngest Managing Directors in the history of Citadel. At Citadel, Mr. Hsu founded and led the Citadel’s Asian Special Situations business.

An alumnus of Stanford University with a BS in Management Science Engineering, Mr. Hsu received the President’s Award for Excellence at Stanford.
